Objective: Focusing on the theme of identity, use compositional cues to create or reveal a character’s essence.
You will be randomly assigned a word that speaks directly to a specific personality or characteristic.
You must place your character/s in either a real or imaginary environment.
You must gather at least ten images to help guide your design.
Consider how Gestalt creates meaning.
Consider how Dominant, Subdominant and subordinate can create narrative.
Consider how your use of color or value enhances the character’s essence.
Consider how facial expression can accentuate your idea.
Consider the role of spatial depth in your image.
Consider how viewpoint/vantage point tells the viewer how to view your character.

Ideas/Concepts
Identity: Identity is the essential character that identifies the essence of somebody or something.
View point/Vantage point:
It is the location or position from which people can look at someone or something. It can help reveal the essential character of your subject.
Perspective: Any graphic system used to create the illusion of 3-D space (bird’s eye, ant’s eye).
